At Distribly, we treat your information with respect. We want you to share with other members, but if you don't want to share something, then you don't have to, and we won't share your information with anyone else without your permission. We only collect information than is needed to provide our service to you and you can change your personal information at any time.
If you ask us, we will show you everything that is stored in relation to your account. If you close your account, we delete all of your personal information when we are no longer legally required to keep it.
We always make it obvious if information you are giving us is shared with other members. We also give you full control over what you share. Remember that anything you share with other members can be seen by everyone, so only share what you want others to see.

Information Available to Others
Some information you enter in your profile: name, profile picture, tagline, about me, and country; can be seen by everyone on the internet. Be aware that anyone who views your public profile can see this information. Other information you enter: city, town; will only be seen by others if you choose to share it.
The address you give us will be shown on invoices when you buy or sell. We don't share your address with anyone else.
Information We Receive

Content. This includes everything you upload to Distribly. Photos, text, comments, reviews. Groups of products in your shopping cart can also be shared if you choose. Anything you do not want to share, should not be uploaded.
PayPal accounts. We require your PayPal email address to make payments into your PayPal account. We do not share this with anyone.
Payment Information. We may retain the details of transactions you make on Distribly. We do this to make it quicker and easier for you to use our service and to protect against fraud. But we never store any credit card numbers or account numbers.
Importing Contacts. We offer tools for you to share Distribly with your friends and email contacts. If you give us a password to retrieve your contacts, we will never store that password.
Because Distribly operates a global service, sometimes your data travels to different countries around the world. These countries may have local laws which are different to yours. If you live outside Germany or New Zealand, then you allow us to transfer your data to Germany or New Zealand and process it there.
Information We Collect
We collect some information as you use the Distribly, it is not a lot, only enough to ensure that the site functions for you as it should, that you are secure, and that you receive your payments correctly.
Site Activity. We keep track of some things that you do on Distribly. We use this information internally to improve our service for you, we don't pass it on to any outside parties.
Device ID. When you access Distribly we may take a device fingerprint of the device you are using. This can include the browser type, location and IP address. We only use this for security and to help us improve and make the site better for you, we don't share this information with outside parties.
Information From Third Parties
PayPal account, such as first and last name, company name, address and telephone number, is supplied to us by PayPal when you connect your PayPal account to your Distribly account.

We only use this information for reporting your earnings to you, and other purposes for which you give us specific permission. We don't share any information supplied to us by PayPal with any outside parties.
Information to Third Parties
Personally Identifiable Information. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. This includes the forwarding of transaction details to payment providers as part of the process of defending chargebacks. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Links. Some links on Distribly take you away from our site. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
How You Can Change and Remove Information
Your Account. You can make changes to all of your personal information in your Account settings, with the exception of your date of birth.
Payment Information. Payment data we receive from PayPal, such as your physical address, can't be altered or deleted. The only way to delete payment data collected from PayPal is to delete your account.
Your Email Address. We never reset or delete your email addresses for you, this is to maintain the security of your account. The only way to delete an email address from your account is to delete your account.
Information We Have Collected. Any information we have collected from you remains in our database only as long as we are legally required to keep it.
When You Delete Your Account. If you choose to delete your account, we remove all of your personal information when we aren't legally required to keep it anymore.
Content You Have Supplied. If you are selling products, you can deactivate them at any time. Comments, ratings, reviews, help topics and all other community related material can't be removed. Although many things can be edited. Deactivated products will still be available for members who have purchased them, until the 28 day download period expires, or they use up their three download attempts.
How Long Backed-up/Cached Information is Kept if You Delete It. Deleted information can remain cached for one day and any data that has been backed up could remain on our system indefinitely. If we restore any information which had previously been deleted, then we will inform you.
Compliance With Regulations
California Online Privacy Protection Act
Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all members of our site may make any changes to their personal information at any time by going to Settings under the My account drop-down menu and making any changes in the Settings tab.
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
We are in compliance with the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA; we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed at people who are at least 13 years of age.
How We Protect Information
Where It is Stored and What Kind of Protection is Used. All data is stored on a secure network that can only be accessed by authorized Distribly staff members. All passwords are stored with an extra layer of encryption. In addition to using technology to protect you, we also use social measures, with community members and staff analyzing behavior for your safety.
What We Encrypt. All of your payment details and personally identifiable information are sent securely from your browser to us.
Protect Yourself. We do everything we can to protect your information; however, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other members that you share your information with. We cannot guarantee that only authorized persons will view your information and we can't guarantee that any information you give us won't be made public against our wishes. You can protect yourself by choosing a strong password, always using up to date anti-virus software, having a firewall activated, using different passwords for different services, not allowing others to use your account and always logging out when you are done.
Your security details. We will never send an email requesting your personal security details. If you receive an email that arouses your suspicion, try pasting its contents into a search engine. If it is not legitimate, then there is a good chance somebody else has received it too and reported it somewhere. Any emails which ask for your login, passwords, or PIN numbers should be forwarded to us at email@example.com so we can investigate.
