How to find missing emails for Telecom NZ Xtra customers email addresses were moved to the Yahoo! email service a few years ago. If you are an Xtra user who uses POP or email forwarding you could have a second, additional, junk folder that you aren't aware of.

How do I know if I use POP?

Hopefully you have set up POP or email forwarding yourself, so you know whether you forward your emails. It could be that someone else set up your email account and you don't know. Check the information below and if you are still not sure, ask the person who set up your email account.

You use POP or email forwarding if:

  • You read your emails in an email program on your computer or phone, like Outlook or Thunderbird, or;
  • You receive your Xtra mails in another account such as your Hotmail or Gmail account.

Finding your missing Xtra emails

To check whether you have missed any messages, go to the Yahoo! mail page, log in using your Xtra mail account details and look in the spam folder for messages from Distribly, mark these as Not Spam. To prevent this from happening again, add Distribly to your contacts or safe senders as described below.

Add Distribly to your contacts

Once you've retrieved any missing messages, add and to your Yahoo! Contacts by following the instructions below:

  1. Sign in to the Yahoo! mail website
  2. Select the Contacts tab and click on New Contact
  3. Enter into the Email box, then click Save
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for
